Britain’s Vanessa Raw takes bronze medal at Challenge Rimini, in the race that awarded the middle distance European title. The British triathlete made a consistent bike split, notwithstanding the bad weather conditions that created many inconveniences to many athletes in the bike course. She managed to take the third place of the podium thanks to a good run split. She crossed the finish line with the overall time of 4h51’07” (28’07” swim, 2h51’08” bike and 1h’26”40 run). The race was won by Kaisa Lethonen, silver medal for the Italian Sara Dossena. Our age-group athlete Michela Tessaro did an awesome race finishing 16th with the time of 5h’19”26.

Unfortunately our other athlete Ritchie Nicholls suffered a bike crash without any serious personal damage. He got on his bike quite immediately and finished the race with an impressive run split of 1h14’ in the 21 Km. He took 10th position with the time of 4h16’50”. Our German athlete Christian Brader finished 17th in 4h31’30” and 47th Alessio Rispoli in 4h48’51”.
