ROAD TO KONA: GREAT JOB FOR PEDERZOLI FIRST IN HER AGE GROUP CATEGORY AT THE IRONMAN IN AUSTRIA
This was the most important test race of the first part of the season, that will culminate with the Ironman in Hawaii. And the final result was…a victory and she could not do any better. Laura Pederzoli is still carrying on her project #RoadToKona displaying an amazing performance at the Ironman Klagenfurt in Austria. One of the most popular, historic and high-level event of the season. The competition represented a significant test race for the world championship. The PPR Team’s athlete has dominated her age group category (earning another virtual qualification slot for Kona) and crossing the finish line in 19th position in 10h08’34”. Laura after the race said: “my #IMAT, what can I say, I am very tired but, very happy. I am very satisfied about my swim (even if I am not really an expert on this stuff!) in the bike (I tried to push hard on it to test me). The marathon was a real pain, I knew that 2 months (I had to stop for 3 months for a knee injury) were not enough to perform well on it. And, this is just how it went. A marathon is something that cannot be done without a right training preparation. The positive aspect is that I have overtaken the bad moments and managed them with my mind. This will be my starting point for Kona! I want to thank Alessandra for being there with me and for her best race time. Roberta for her second awesome race, she is such an incredible triathlete. Mirco, Nicola, Martina and all the other people with whom I have shared this incredible passion in this beautiful day. I would also like to thank some other people who helped me during these last few months to heal my knee injury: Ciro, Marco and doctor Pugliarello! A special thank goes to the coolest triathlon team, the one and only awesome PPR Team!”.
