THE LAST PART OF THE 2016 PPR’S RACING SEASON

“Autumn is second Spring, when every leaf is a flower” (Albert Camus)

A great start for the last part of the racing season: an impressive international victory for the Hungarian Soos at the ETU Triathlon Junior European Cup in Romania and an amazing top ten position for Mauro Pera at the 7.3 Ironman Zeel Am See-Kaprun in Austria, together with other podium positions and important results

Again on the track with the young athletes back from their training camps and ready to race again for the final part of this 2016 season. A great work was done by Pesavento who was in Predazzo (Trento) at the altitude National Junior Training Camp. While Crestani and Ragazzo were staying in Cadimare (La Spezia).

A good training period for the Hungarians who performed excellently during this weekend: on the Danube delta in Romania, Gergo Soos wins the ETU Junior European Cup in Tulcea. Always leading the sprint distance race, which had a lake swim and a city run and bike courses, since the beginning and finishes with the time of 1:02:03. Just amazing! It was instead a wet competition for the women, who performed wonderfully, notwithstanding the various bike falls. Petrov finishes in 4th position and Fuchs in 7th. We just missed the women’s podium of the ETU European Cup in Tulcea. Petrov was first out of the water and leading the race but just missed the precious medal.

Meanwhile a prestigious top ten position for Pera at the 70.3 Zell Am See-Kaprun in Austria and, first Italian to cross the finish line with the time of 4:27:05. What an outstanding performance Mauro!

And this is not the end: in Italy we are warming up with the Coach Intagliata who, at the 23rd edition of the Sprint Distance Triathlon “Citta’ of Cuneo” finishes 4th, a pity for the third position missed in the final rush.

Ferlazzo and Mozzachiodi the two “friends” at the Sprint Distance Triathlon of Fidenza (Parma) finished respectively second and third. Wow, very good!

The same friendship shared at the Etna Sky Duathlon and 5th event of the Sicily Triathlon Series by Salerno who crossed the finish line together with his friend and coach Alessandro Terranova. This was a wonderful shared Gold.

All these amazing results of this passed race weekend, however do not erase the memory of all the victims of the earthquake which hit central Italy. A minute of silence was held in all the Italian races during this weekend, for all that happened in central Italy.

Because it is easy to fall,
however to rise again it is not really something impossible.
