The PPRTeam and Cipollini are carrying on a special project called Hawaii

In the headquarters of the Team in Turin we are getting ready for the new race season and we gladly announce that the American athlete Matt Chrabott will be racing for us.

That’s right this season the PPRTeam and Cipollini are aiming to an incredible performance in Hawaii in the international world of Triathlon.

Gianfranco Mione, the Team Principal says: “this season we’ll try to do our best in Kona with Cyril Viennot and Matt Chrabott. Those athletes have an impressive sport curricula and can count on first quality equipment like the Fluxos wheels and the NKTT, the new model The One and the NK1K Cipollini’s bikes. We also have other outstanding national and international athletes who race in all Triathlon’s distances and are getting ready at their best for this season riding these new amazing bike models of the MCipollini factory. We also have the incredible ALE ‘ clothing which meets all my demands. Thursday after having signed the agreement contract Matt will fly back to Colorado with all the technical equipment and his bike!”

Chrabot’s message: “Best of luck to all Italian and fellow PPR triathletes this season. Whether you are focusing on competing with me on the Big Island or dreaming to race there one day, I wish everyone a safe and happy 2018 season! Go FAST!”

Matt has elevated his performance over the past few seasons, culminating with his first full distance IRONMAN Argentina victory in December.  Matt finished the 2017 season in the Top 5 IRONMAN 70.3 Points Ranking.  He is set to qualify for the 2018 IRONMAN World Championships in Kona and is currently #12 on the IRONMAN Points Ranking.

Without the pressure of having to qualify over the upcoming months, Matt can focus solely on developing his fitness and race strategy and know he can arrive in Kona with ‘fresh legs.’    His training and race schedule is geared towards preparing him for the toughest 1-day challenge of his life.  Matt is committed to delivering a strong World Championship performance by positioning himself for a first-out-of-the-water swim and solid bike in Kona.  Matt is 1 of only 2 American men to win an ITU World Cup, IRONMAN 70.3 and full distance IRONMAN race.   Kona will be a culmination of everything Matt has worked for so far in his career, not to mention a day for him to demonstrate why he is among the best athletes in the world.
