Vanessa Raw sul gradino più alto del podio dell’Ironman Italy

During her swim she was making her move in the attempt to gain some distance from the other contenders, her bike was perfect and the run made her dream come true. Vanessa Raw has claimed victory at the Ironman 70.3 Italy in 4h38’13”. She displayed a phenomenal performance. In a leading position since the beginning of the competition, she came off the bike with a great advantage over the others and managed to take full supremacy of it on the final 21 km. The British athlete, that is racing from the beginning of this season for the PPR Team, scores her first victory in an Ironman race. Just three weeks after taking bronze at the European middle distance championship of Challenge Rimini.

The final results of the PPR Team could have been even better, unfortunately our Hungarian athlete Gabriela Zelinka had a bike crash in the 90 km course and dislocated her shoulder. This made impossible for her to finish the race. Also Ritche Nicolls for a flat tire withdrew from the race.
